Lady Luck smiled on Dodge as the team came away from the Zyte GP with a fortuitous win. Escaping relatively unscathed from an early crash that saw a bunch of front runners get held up, the Dodge riders made good time through the race, which eventuated with a two man breakaway.
In what came as a surprise to fans as well as onlookers, young Roland Rosinski managed to eke out countryman Noel Suwalki to clinch top spot and complete a 1-2 finish for Australia. Pre-race team favourite Ian Defley rode commendably to finish in 8th place.
Rosinski was ecstatic after the win, especially when reminded by a local journalist at the press conference after that this was his first result of the season. Admitting that his form before this season so far had been "pretty shite", Rosinski thanked the fans for their unwavering support and promised that the team would reach greater heights in the near future.
